Hagerstown fire marshals said today they have charged a second person in connection with a Tuesday fire at a vacant house at 1211 Linwood Road.
Gary William Gipe, 18, of 10 Elizabeth St., Hagerstown, has been charged with second-degree arson, first-degree malicious burning and reckless endangerment.Â
On Tuesday night, authorities said a 17-year-old, whose name was not released, had been charged with second degree arson, first-degree malicious burning and reckless endangerment.
The fire was reported Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. Fire personnel found the house was fully involved.Â
The house is in a remote area behind Greenberry Hills and Wesel Boulevard. Both the house and its contents were a total loss.
