Kim D. Sellers, 50

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Kim D. Sellers, 50, of 545 Pratt Court and formerly of 208 North Potomac Street, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in her home.

Born Dec. 24, 1957, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Ellen F. Wolff Sellers.

She was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1976.

She was self-employed, providing domestic help to local families.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1758 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Waynesboro.

She is survived by one sister, Pamela Paretti of Chambersburg, Pa.; one brother, Bradley Sellers of Waynesboro; a special friend, James Sacrey of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Ringgold Cemetery, Ringgold, Md. The Rev. James Mole will officiate.

There will be no public viewing.

Katherine M. Ryder, 94

JULY 19, 1913-JUNE 2, 2008

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. - Katherine "Kitty" Moore Ryder, 94, a resident of Citizen's Care Center in Havre de Grace, and formerly of Fayetteville, Pa., died Monday, June 2, 2008, in the nursing home.

Born July 19, 1913, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Reese A. and Ada Freytag Moore.

She graduated from high school in Chambersburg.

She was employed as a bookkeeper with Chambersburg Dairy for 40 years.

She was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ryder, whom she married June 19, 1946. He died Oct. 24, 2000.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Edna Ryder, one brother-in-law, Robert Ryder; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Taylor, and three brothers.

Graveside services will be Saturday at noon at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, Pa. The Rev. Mark Woodring will officiate.

Rose L. VanDaniker, 79

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Rose L. VanDaniker, 79, of Hill Road, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born Dec. 17, 1928, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Tomczewski Tyc.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. VanDaniker, who died in 1994.

She was an assembler for Silver Top Industries in Bradshaw, Md.

She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother in Joppatowne, Md.

She is survived by two daughters, Catherine L. Weller of Hancock and Linda T. Snowden of Joppatowne; two sons, George H. VanDaniker Jr. of Martinsburg and David A. VanDaniker of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Carolyn Tyc of Baltimore and Patricia Birmingham of Abington; two brothers, James Tyc and Paul Tyc, both of Baltimore; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lance Cpl. Joseph M. VanDaniker and James T. VanDaniker; and one brother, Joseph Tyc.

Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, Md. Burial will be at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Local arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home in Hancock.

Matthew D. Mellinger, 32

FREDERICK, Md. - Matthew D. Mellinger, 32, of Frederick, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at his residence. He was the husband of Amber D. Wentz Mellinger.

He was born Oct. 7, 1975, in York, Pa., the son of Linda and Steven Long of New Oxford and Thomas Mellinger of York.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three brothers, Thomas Mellinger, Joshua Long and Benjamin Long and his wife, Tylee, all of New Oxford; a sister, Stephanie Long of New Oxford; a niece, Madison Mellinger of New Oxford; and grandparents Bill and Joyce Harder, Liz and Jim Long and Pat Mellinger; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Mellinger.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1170 Kohler Mill Rd., New Oxford with Bishop Steven Long officiating. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery.

There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
