MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Maximum Extreme All Stars cheer teams capped a fine initial competitive season recently by dominating the Small Senior Level 3 & Small Youth level 2 divisions at American Cheer Power Battle of the States Open National Championship in Hershey, Pa.

Extreme head coach Erin Miller said the group capped its first year with four first-place wins, including two national titles.

Max Extreme competed this year against teams from California, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia and New York.

"We really wanted to go to competitions where we would be competing against the elite. Our girls earned every win they received this year," Miller said in a news release.

Maximum Extreme competed with two squads this year. Both received bids to the NLCC World's Best: Final Destination competition in Virginia Beach, Va., in May.

The senior coaching staff has 20 years of cheerleading and dance experience from both Miller and assistant coach Keshia Decker. Miller and Decker also work together to do choreography and music over the summer months for school and all star teams.
