Harrisburg man accused of having sex with 12-year-old

QUINCY, Pa. - A 36-year-old Harrisburg, Pa., man faces rape charges after he was accused of having sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Alexis Ocasio Rivera, of 1400 S. 15th St., Apt. 102, was charged with rape, statutory sexual assault and indecent assault, police said.

The alleged rape occurred between June 1, 2006 and Sept. 1, 2007 in Quincy Township, police said.

$300 reported stolen from Greencastle home

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A Greencastle woman reported someone entered her home Thursday afternoon and stole a pink wallet containing more than $300 in cash, Greencastle Police said in a news release.


The wallet also contained a Pennsylvania driver's license belonging to Edna J. Miller, police said.

The burglary happened between 2 and 4 p.m. in the first block of West Baltimore Street, police said.

Police seek information about copper wire thefts in St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Between $200 and $300 worth of copper wire was stolen last week from cell phone towers in St. Thomas township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The wire was taken Friday or Saturday from sites at 650 Pioneer Drive and 9523 Lincoln Way West, police said. The towers are owned by Verizon Wireless and Crown Castle International, police said.

Anyone with information or anyone who sees suspicious activity around cell phone towers may contact Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.

Pa. police: Doylesburg woman unhurt in crash

DOYLESBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police said a Doylesburg woman was unhurt in a Sunday evening crash on Goshorn Road in Fannett Township.

Police said Pearl E. Clugston, 79, was driving a vehicle east at 6:41 p.m. when she lost control on a curve. The vehicle went off the road through shrubbery, back across the road and through a fence before hitting a building and the embankment of a creek, police said.

Plywood stolen from storage unit in Letterkenny Township

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Several sheets of plywood were stolen from a storage unit in Letterkenny Township between May 24 and Friday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

A lock on one of the units at Axis Storage, 7208 Cumberland Highway, was cut, police said.
