Girl Scouts brighten Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport

WILLIAMSPORT - For the fourth consecutive year, members of Girl Scout Troop 282 of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church weeded, planted and mulched flowers around the historic band shell at Byron Memorial Park.

Approximately 12 Scouts participated in the project, earning a community service badge.

Following the planting, the troop used the band shell for its regular meeting to discuss future activities.

Sponsors for the event were The Town of Williamsport, Greensburg Market, Gerald Taylor and Jeff Cline/Roger Fairborn Real Estate.
