BCA participates in Serv-A-Thon

Broadfording Christian Academy took part in a Serv-A-Thon in April.

On April 16, students in grades kindergarten to second went to Loyalton Assisted Living and sang to the residents. Afterward, the students visited with residents and passed out flowers and handmade cards.

On April 17, the third-grade class helped beautify their school by taking part in a landscaping project outside their classroom windows. The students will be able to watch the plants and flowers grow.

That same day, fifth-graders went to Cumberland Valley Relief Center in Chambersburg, Pa., where they assembled relief kits for the center.

On April 18, fourth-graders went to Cove Valley Youth Camp in Mercersburg, Pa., where they did work on the grounds of the camp. Students in grades six through 12 divided into groups and performed tasks at Camp Tohiglo in Mercersburg, Pa., at the Hagerstown Fairgrounds, Hagerstown Community College, the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, the Washington County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Washington County Free Library, Cedar Ridge Ministries, Western Maryland Hospital Center, Antietam National Battlefield and Hagerstown's Municipal Stadium.
