HCC's Johnson named to all-tournament team
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Hagerstown Community College won two awards at the NJCAA Division I World Series.
Charles Johnson was one of four outfielders named to the all-tournament team. He went 6-for-14 in four games with one homer and five RBI.
As a team, the Hawks won the Homa Thomas Sportsmanship Award.
Grayson County beat Shelton State 13-2 in Friday's championship game.

Grier makes cut
LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -- After a horrid opening-round 80 on Friday, Hagerstown's Ashley Grier recovered with a 1-over-par 73 to survive the cut in the DURAMED Futures Aurora Health Care Championship on Saturday.
Grier had a 2-under 34 on the back nine that kept her alive and is 13 shots behind the leader, Mindy Kim of Diamond Bard, Calif. heding into the final round.
