City schedules fire hydrant flushings

The City of Hagerstown will flush fire hydrants from June 2 to 20 in the following areas:

· Greencastle Pike from Williamsport to Cearfoss and Cindy Lane

· National Pike and West Washington Street from Huyetts Crossroads to Hump Road

· Interstate 70/81 Industrial Park

· Cedar Lawn

· Highland Manor

· Washington County Business Park

· Hopewell Road

· Broadfording

· Martins Crossroads

· Cearfoss

Water customers in those areas are cautioned to continually check their water supply for discolored water that might occur because of the hydrant flushing, particularly when using washing machines.
