Liquor board OKs convenience store's off-sale license

May 29, 2008

Washington County liquor officials on Wednesday granted an off-sale liquor license to the owners of a Hagerstown convenience store.

The Board of License Commissioners for Washington County voted 3-0 to grant Michael and Carol Keats, owners of C & M Convenience Store at 249 1/2 Jonathan St., permission to sell beer and wine under the condition that the business passes inspections by the fire and health departments.

William F. Dunham, secretary of the board of license commissioners, said in his motion to accept the Keats' request that an off-sale establishment could be used in that section of town.
