Information sought about missing teen

The Washington County Sheriff's Department said it is looking for a boy whose mother last saw him Saturday.

Patrick Jacob Breen, 15, of Marigold Drive in Hagerstown, was at Weis Market on Leitersburg Pike on Saturday, then went to a friend's house on Pangborn Boulevard, his mother told police, according to a sheriff's department news release.

Patrick is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with blue eyes, straight brown collar-length hair and a medium complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans, and white and black sneakers.

Police ask anyone with information about Patrick to call them at 301-791-3020.

Pet deer, dog shot in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A pet whitetail deer that was in a pen on Grindstone Hill Road in Chambersburg was fatally shot May 23, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release Wednesday.


A dog was shot and killed at the same place.

Police said the shootings are believed to have happened between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.

Sheriff's deputies look into calls

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls Tuesday:

· At 7 a.m., a call about a theft over the weekend of a chain saw and a weed cutter from the 1200 block of Mount Aetna Road.

· At 9 a.m., a call about a break-in at a residence in the 11000 block of Dormayne Drive. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

· At 10:30 a.m., a call about malicious destruction of property, Bowman building, Governor Lane Boulevard. The side and trunk of a 2006 Hyundai were scratched with a sharp object.

· At 10:45 a.m., a call about fuel stolen from a vehicle in the 9000 block of Cafoxa Drive.

· At 11:15 a.m., a call about malicious destruction of property. A 1993 Geo Metro in the 8000 block of Mapleville Road was spray-painted overnight.

· At 11:30 a.m., a call that a 2003 Nissan Xterra with Maryland registration 692M072 was stolen from the 17000 block of Broadfording Road.

· At 1 p.m., a call that $1,200 worth of copper wire was stolen from a job site in the 11000 block of Newgate Boulevard.

· At 5:15 p.m., a call that an iPod, a satellite radio and prescription drugs were stolen from a vehicle in the 15000 block of Fairview Road.

Driver seriously hurt after car spins out

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A driver was severely injured Tuesday evening after his vehicle spun into oncoming traffic on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The driver, whose name was not released because his family had not been notified, was at York (Pa.) Hospital on Wednesday, police said.

He was driving south on I-81 at 7:22 p.m. when he lost control of his Toyota Camry near mile 13 and spun across the median into the path of a northbound Chevrolet truck, police said.

The truck struck the right rear of the Toyota, police said. The driver of the truck, Brendan Hunt, 23, of Burton, W.Va., had minor injuries in the crash, police said.
