Organizers set the stage for this weekend's Western Maryland Blues Fest

Details about the 2008 Western Maryland Blues Fest were provided at a press conference this morning at Hagerstown's City Hall.

Organizers talked about how the Blues Fest has grown from one stage and a $25,000 budget in its first year, to two stages and a budget of almost $250,000 this year.

The Blues Fest will be held Friday and Saturday in downtown Hagerstown. On Sunday, City Park will be the site of a Family Blues Picnic.

Among this year's performers is Grammy winner Buckwheat Zydeco, who will perform Saturday.

A Blues Prelude will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at University Plaza Park in downtown Hagerstown.
