More than 900 people packed The Maryland Theatre for a concert Tuesday by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. The performance by the world-famous, big-band group benefited the Joint Veterans Council of Washington County. Money raised at the event will go toward the purchase of a van that all local veterans groups can use to transport veterans to hospitals, said Tony Pruchniewski, president of the Joint Veterans Council of Washington County.
