Burlington Coat Factory coming to Chambersburg Mall

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) announced Wednesday that Burlington Coat Factory has signed an agreement to open a 70,000-square-foot store at Chambersburg Mall in Scotland, Pa.

Construction has begun in the space formerly occupied by Value City, and the new retailer is scheduled to open in late August, according to a news release.

Burlington Coat Factory operates more than 394 stores in 44 states, and sells coats, apparel, shoes, and accessories for the entire family. Shoppers can also find baby items, furniture, toys, linens and home décor. The Chambersburg Mall store will be the first Burlington Coat Factory in the immediate area. The next closest Burlington Coat Factory is in Frederick, Md.

Chambersburg Mall is anchored by The Bon-Ton, JCPenney, and Sears. Other retailers including Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Waldenbooks and Zales.
