BOONSBORO - A pickup truck rolled over on Md. 66 Sunday afternoon at about 2 p.m. near San Mar Road and alcohol might have been involved, according to Maryland State Police.

Jeremy Kaufman, 20, of Boonsboro, was the driver of the 2000 Dodge Ram pickup that police said failed to make it around a curve, struck the guardrail and overturned.

Trooper 1st Class Michael Ford charged Kaufman with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, a seat belt violation and violation of a license restriction.

Kaufman, who had minor injuries, was released from police custody after receiving his citations, Ford said.

None of the occupants was wearing seat belts.
