Susquehanna Bank's StrikeOuts for Straight A's program has teamed up with the Hagers-town Suns and the Aberdeen Ironbirds to give Washington and Harford counties' college-bound students the chance to win one of six $1,000 college scholarships.
Winning students will be invited to a Hagerstown Suns or Aberdeen Ironbirds home game in August and will join Susquehanna Bank on the field to receive their StrikeOuts for Straight A's Scholarship award check.
"The support of community education programs has always been an important focus for Susquehanna Bank," Michael E. Hough, president and COO of Susquehanna Bank, said in a prepared release. "Now with the creation of our own StrikeOuts for Straight A's Scholarship Fund, we are expanding our efforts, as well as our ability to make a real impact in the lives of students that live right here in Washington and Harford counties."
To apply, students may visit www.susquehanna.net and click on the StrikeOuts for Straight A's logo. Applications are due at Susquehanna Bank by July 1.
