The Edlridges



Clarence V. and Joy Michael Eldridge celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 8, 2008, spending the night at the Gettysburg Hotel in Gettysburg, Pa. The couple spent their honeymoon at this hotel on May 8, 1943. They also celebrated the anniversary at a dinner at the hotel with their daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ken Carbaugh of Clear Spring.

Mrs. Eldridge is the former Joy Louise Michael, daughter of the late Arthur and Chlorus Fearnow Michael. She worked at Pangborn Corp. during the 1940s before helping with her husband's milk and bread business.

Mr. Eldridge is the son of the late Clarence V. Eldridge Sr. and Lillie May Ridenour Eldridge. He and his father owned the Eldridge Dairy Co. He retired from Joy Distributors in 1980. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
