Florence K. Holler, 78

BAKERTON, W.Va. - Florence Ketterman Holler, 78, of Bakerton, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at her home.

Born Dec. 28, 1929, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John Robert Harrington and Myrtle Mae Ketterman Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gerald David "Jake" Holler Sr., in 1998.

She was a licensed practical nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg and Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

She attended Engle United Methodist Church.

She was a member of Molers CEOS Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen Burns of Charles Town, W.Va.; one son, Gerald D. Holler Jr. of Bakerton; six grandchildren, Gerald D. Holler III, Samuel Holler, Steve Clipp, Jill Clipp, Alyssa Holler and William Holler; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca L. Holler; and two brothers, Lester Brown and John Ketterman.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, W.Va. Chaplain Doug Knupp will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Irvin F. Hebb, 82

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Irvin Franklin Hebb, 82, of Brunswick, died Friday, May 16, 2008, at his home.

Born Dec. 23, 1925, in Sharpsburg, he was the son of the late Richard Franklin Hebb and Anna Mary Benner Hebb.

He retired, after 43 years of service in Brunswick, from the B&O Railroad as a conductor.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of VFW Post 10421 and Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96, both of Brunswick.

He is survived by his wife, Roma Ashton Hebb; two daughters, Mary M. Hebb of Brunswick, and Jill A. Willmore of Solomons Island, Md.; two sons, James I. Hebb of Wheat Ridge, Colo., and Michael B. Hebb of Knoxville, Md.; one sister, Lenora Everitts of Carlisle, Pa.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Iona Grams; and three brothers, Richard Hebb, Ellsworth Hebb and Carol Hebb.

A memorial service will be Monday, June 23, at 7 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Brunswick. The Rev. Abraham D. Salomon will officiate.

Howard William LeFevre, 79

BEDINGTON, W.Va. - Howard William LeFevre, 79, of Bedington, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Born Nov. 21, 1928, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Howard Henry LeFevre and Margaret Amelia Sheely LeFevre.

He last was employed by the Crossroads Store in Bedington.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.

He was member of Bedington United Methodist Church.

He was a member of the Bedington Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis W. LeFevre of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Terry Dale LeFevre of Cascade; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Walter F. Bowers will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, with members of the Bedington Volunteer Fire Department leading the procession to the cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty C. Clingan, 74

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Betty C. Clingan, 74, of Martinsburg, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at the home of her daughter in Manassas, Va.

Born Aug. 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Boyles and Madeline Boyles.

She previously had been employed by Dr. Queen's dental office.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James E. Clingan; one son, James R. Clingan of Martinsburg; one daughter, Linda Price of Manassas, Va.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Schultz; and one son, Samuel E. Clingan.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Martinsburg. The Rev. Kent Tice will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Howard E. "Sonny" Barnes, 75, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Sept. 10, 1932, he was the son of Ralph Barnes and Eileen Harbaugh Barnes.
