Bavarian Inn

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va - The Bavarian Inn has received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating for 2008, the 25th consecutive year the inn has received this honor.

The rating signifies that the Bavarian Inn has a variety of luxury facilities and premium services, according to Jim Lehman, senior vice president for AAA East Central.

Recent additions to the inn include an outdoor patio for dining and 33 newly decorated rooms. An additional 27 rooms are being renovated.

Fewer than 4 percent of the estimated 60,000 AAA-rated facilities were awarded the Four Diamond designation this year.

AgChoice Farm Credit

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - AgChoice Farm Credit distributed more than $3 million to its customer-owners in the Cumberland Valley branch territory for the 2007 year.


Since 2002, more than $12.3 million in profits have been returned to customer-owners in an area that includes Cumberland, Franklin, Fulton and Perry counties.

Through 10 branch offices, AgChoice provides financial services to a chartered territory that consists of 7,500 customer-owners in 52 counties in central, western and northern Pennsylvania and four counties in West Virginia.

CNB Financial Services Inc.

Thomas F. Rokisky, president and CEO of CNB Financial Services Inc., the parent company of CNB Bank Inc., announced for the three months ended March 31 that CNB had consolidated net income of $779,000, or $1.71 per share, as compared to $626,000, or $1.37 per share, for the same three months last year.

CNB has full-service offices in Berkeley Springs, Hedgesville, Martinsburg and Falling Waters in West Virginia, and in Hancock, Md.

Eastern Isles Teas and Tonics

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eastern Isles Teas and Tonics observed an official ribbon-cutting ceremony April 29.

Arthur Ebeling, company founder and CEO, and partners Eric Stevenson and Felipe Oliveira were joined by city councilmen and community leaders at Eastern Isles Tea House downtown.

Ebeling is a senior at Shepherd University, Stevenson is a Shepherd graduate and Oliveira is a Shepherd sophomore.

The tea house offers live music, open-mic nights Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30. There are poetry readings on Thursdays at 7:30.

The tea house soon will be equipped with wireless Internet and will offer a lunch and breakfast menu.

Orrstown Financial Services Inc.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Orrstown Financial Services Inc. has announced operating results for the first quarter of 2008, which ended March 31.

The board of directors approved an increase in the second-quarter cash dividend to 22 cents per share payable to shareholders of record on May 9. This represents an increase of 10 percent over the dividend of 20 cents during the second quarter of 2007. The dividend will be paid May 23.

Orrstown Financial Services Inc. and its subsidiary, Orrstown Bank, have 20 banking offices, including offices in Franklin County, Pa., and Washington County, Md.
