Two children involved in accidents in Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Two children were involved in separate pedestrian and bicycle accidents Saturday in the Borough of Waynesboro, according to local police.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., a boy ran into the street and into the side of a 2002 Jeep Cherokee southbound on North Broad Street, Waynesboro police said in a news release.

That child was taken to Waynesboro Hospital for treatment of abrasions on his legs, arms, hands and head.

At 8:26 p.m., police were called to a bicycle accident at the intersection of Hamilton and Cleveland avenues.

Police said the boy did not stop at a stop sign and collided with a Dodge van.

Bicycle accidents also were reported on the afternoons of May 5 and 6.
