May 13, 2008

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - The Jefferson County Commission on Thursday talked about buying more land near the Jefferson County Courthouse for future county office needs.

The commissioners have discussed buying a piece of land in the block bordered by Washington, George, Liberty and Samuel streets as they look at possible expanded court facilities and parking, said Commissioner Greg Corliss.

The commission talked about a specific piece of land in the block during their regular meeting Thursday but did not take any action or go into detail.
