REACH offers air conditioners

REACH's Faith in Action program is seeking donations of new or used air conditioners for those in need in the community.

The group is also looking for volunteers to pick up and deliver air conditioners to homebound individuals.

Donated air conditioners must be window-type, room size, operate off 110-volt current and have all knobs, switches, etc., and expansion panels. They must be in working order.

If you'd rather donate the funds to purchase an air conditioner, REACH will buy them with your donations.

To receive an air conditioner, an application and medical documentation is required.

Applications can be picked up at the REACH Center or will be mailed to homebound applicants.

Applications will be accepted through Aug. 1; donations will be accepted through Aug. 29; and air conditioners will be distributed between June 2 and Aug. 29.
