Greencastle-Antrim students get message about drunken driving

May 09, 2008

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The Save a Life Tour: High Impact Alcohol Awareness Program made a stop Wednesday at Greencastle-Antrim High School.

The program included a schoolwide assembly on the dangers of drinking and driving. Students then took an alcohol awareness survey, watched a graphic video and tried a state-of-the-art drunken-driving simulator that allowed them to experience firsthand how alcohol impairs driving skills. Each participant received a "ticket" showing the number of violations committed during their simulation and an "I'll Take the Keys" bracelet.

A number of local residents and businesses donated money to sponsor the event.
