HAGERSTOWN -- A man was arrested Thursday night after the AC&T gas station on Wesel Boulevard was robbed at knifepoint for the second time in four days, Hagerstown Police said.

Thursday night's armed robbery at the gas station at 1615 Wesel Blvd. was reported at about 10:02 p.m., Hagerstown Police Lt. Timothy Wolford said. There were several witnesses in the store, Wolford said.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department aided in the search for a suspect described as a white man in a black shirt and tan cap, last seen on the railroad tracks, Wolford said.

At about 10:20 p.m., a man matching the description was arrested at Motel 6, Wolford said.

Police identified him as Jason Mathew Rhodes, 32, of no fixed address.

Wolford said he did not know whether the robbery was related to a similar incident Monday night, when a man showed a knife at the same store and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
