Work continues on Waynesboro Turkey Hill Minit Market

May 09, 2008

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Site work continues for the new Turkey Hill Minit Market scheduled to open in December at the intersection of Pa. 16 and CV Avenue.

"This location's demographics fit our model well: The store in Waynesboro is a natural extension of our current markets," company spokeswoman Erin Dimitriou Smith wrote in an e-mail.

The 3,936-square-foot store probably will employ 20 to 25 people, Dimitriou Smith said.

The store, with 12 fueling stations, will have a full coffee bar and food service area known as the Real Time Cafe, she said.

"Customers can pick up pizzas, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, subs, salads all made fresh at the store," Dimitriou Smith said. "We also make these things to order if the customer has a specific request."

Site plans for the project included two other retail buildings and a replacement for the coin-operated laundry on the site.

Turkey Hill Minit Markets, which sell products from the Turkey Hill Dairy in Lancaster County, Pa., maintains more than 230 stores in Pennsylvania, but this will be the first south of Shippensburg, Pa., on the Interstate 81 corridor.
