May 09, 2008

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A South Mountain, Pa., man was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court for sexually assaulting his wife.

The 65-year-old man, whose name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim, was sentenced by Judge Carol Van Horn to between 11 1/2 and 23 months in the county jail. He pleaded no contest to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in January.

Pennsylvania State Police said the man forced his wife into a van in the garage of their South Mountain Road home on Sept. 15, forced her to perform a sexual act and threatened to choke her. Five days later, he threatened to cut her throat, and the next day, he struck her, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
