The Greensboro Grasshoppers ripped Hagerstown pitching for 15 hits and scored at least one run in six of the first eight innings of Sunday's 11-5 thrashing of the Suns at Municipal Stadium.
Daniel Garcia's solo home run in the first inning off Hagerstown starter Colton Willems set the tone. Thomas Hickman's RBI double and Michael Stanton's RBI single made it 3-0.
Ryan Anetsberger doubled and scored on Ben Lasater's single in the third to make it 4-1. Adam Howard and Anetsberger each doubled in the fourth as the lead grew to 6-1.
Torre Langley's two-run homer in the fifth made it 8-1, before the Suns (15-15) made it 8-4 in the bottom half on Bill Rhinehart's three-run homer.
