Hagerstown-Washington County CVB

The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has released the spring and summer edition of its Calendar of Events.

The fold-out brochure lists area events from April through September. Nearly 50,000 copies of the calendar are being distributed by the CVB.

The Calendar of Events is produced twice per year by the CVB. This edition was designed by PM2 Studios and features photos from across Washington County.

The Calendar of Events is available free of charge from the Visitor Welcome Center in downtown Hagerstown, from the State of Maryland's Welcome Centers and from many CVB member businesses.

Cornerstone Wealth Management Group

Cornerstone Wealth Management Group, a Hagerstown-based wealth management firm, has relocated to a new office at 19833 Leitersburg Pike.

Cornerstone Wealth Management Group was established in 1996 with three staff members, and now has an eight-member team to assist clients.

The staff hosted an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony April 25 to officially open the office.

Society for Human Resource Management

The Cumberland Valley Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (CVSHRM) was awarded the Superior Merit Chapter designation for 2007 by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in Alexandria, Va.

CVSHRM received the designation for its scope of work in perpetuating and supporting the mission of the organization. The chapter receives a Certificate of Recognition, a specialized banner to display at its meetings and events, and is being recognized in SHRM's publications and at its conferences.

SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management.
