Tina Wallech has rejoined The Herald-Mail as a sales associate in the Advertising Department. Wallech, who will be working with the company's automotive and real estate team, previously spent eight years in The Herald-Mail's Advertising Department, working as both an associate and a sales representative. A graduate of Clear Spring High School, she has worked for Allegany Dental Care in Hagerstown, the Waynesboro (Pa.) Record Herald and the former Antietam Advertiser, among others.

In the Packaging & Distribution Department, Michael Speaker has been promoted to the position of full-time machinist. Speaker has been with the company, as a part-time packaging assistant, for the past month. A graduate of Washington County Technical High School, he also has attended the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, N.C. Also in the department, Amber Robinson has been promoted to the position of part-time packaging assistant, and Stephanie Sweigert, Samantha Thomas, Donald Gerhold, Leslie Kline, Deb Swift and Amanda Robinson have been hired as part-time inserters.

In other part-time moves, Arthur King and Deb Shupe have joined the Circulation Department as assistants in the company's distribution center on Cannon Avenue, and Brandon Boschert, a former intern, has rejoined the company as a graphic artist in the Advertising Department.

Celebrating a milestone service anniversary with the company is Bob Maginnis, Editorial Page editor, who will be marking 35 years of service in May.

MVB Bank

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Travella S. Cook has joined MVB bank as vice president of mortgage lending.

Cook will work from the bank's Charles Town office at Somerset Plaza.

Cook has more than 25 years of experience in conventional, VA, FHA, and West Virginia Housing/USDA financing.

Cook holds an undergraduate degree from the West Virginia School of Banking in Charleston, W.Va., and a graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Orrstown Bank

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The following people have joined the staff at Orrstown Bank as branch executive officers.

- Jeff Bingaman will work at the bank's Silver Spring office in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Bingaman previously worked as a business manager at Stine Consulting Corp., senior community banking officer and assistant vice president at Sovereign Bank in Lancaster, Pa., and branch manager at Harris Savings Bank in Carlisle, Pa.

Bingaman received a bachelor's degree in management and supervision from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa.

- Rebecca M. Gardner will work at the bank's King Street office in Shippensburg.

Gardner previously worked as the branch manager at Sovereign Bank in Shippensburg.

Gardner graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies.

- Morgan Miller will work at the bank's Orchard Drive office in Chambersburg, Pa.

Miller previously worked as a teller supervisor for Burke & Herbert Bank in Alexandria, Va. She is in the process of receiving her degree in accounting.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

Nicholas McLeod of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors.

Callas Contractors Inc.

Dean Beaver has rejoined Callas Contractors Inc. as an equipment manager.

Beaver was hired in 1981 as an equipment operator and later promoted to a field supervisor before leaving the company in 2003.

Power Marketing

Erin Detrow has been hired as an administrative assistant by Power Marketing.

Detrow studied at the John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg (Pa.) University, and graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in California.

Tastefully Simple

The following local residents and independent consultants with Tastefully Simple Inc. recently received promotions.

- Dana Ray of Hagerstown has been promoted to team mentor.

- Bonnie Turner of Middletown, Md., has been promoted to team leader.

Ray also was honored earlier this year at Tastefully Simple's On Tour event in Harrisburg, Pa., receiving the Top 10 Recruiter in Location and Top 10 Sales Achiever in Location awards in 2007.

Also honored at the event was Tina Green of Hagerstown, who received the Top 10 Recruiter in Region and Top Team Sales in Location awards for 2007.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bob Barton, Scott Donghia and Jack Road were named top agents for March at Prudential Franklin Associated Realtors.
