Thomas E. Hiles, 51

SEPT. 12, 1956-APRIL 25, 2008

Thomas Eugene Hiles, 51, of Hagerstown, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Sept. 12, 1956, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edward Lee and Maude Ivy Shank Hiles.

He was employed by the U.S. Security Associates in Hagerstown. He was a member of Real Life Community Church in Hagerstown. He was a past member of Loyal Order of Moose Chapter 2135 Antietam, Hagerstown.

He is survived by friends, Ronald L. Miley, Martha J. Stottlemyer and Vincent Herold and family, all of Hagerstown.

A memorial will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. James Chevalier Jr. will officiate.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Beulah Ellen Smith Randall, 75

Beulah Ellen Smith Randall, 75, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at her home.

Born Nov. 14, 1932, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Eugene and Effie Viola Hornbecker Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Randall Sr., on March 4, 2008.

She retired after 13 years as a deli clerk at County Market.

She was a member of Western Enterprise Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Robin L. Ocasio of Hagerstown; three sons, Earle H. Lightner of Bennington, W.Va., and James W. Randall Jr. and Randy C. Randall, both of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters; one brother; and twin grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Washington Square United Methodist Church in Hagerstown. The Rev. Jerry Lowans will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Bryan K. Kenworthy P.A., 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Richard D. Morrison, 73

April 23, 1935-May 2, 2008

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Richard Dale "Dick" "Drywall" Morrison, 73, of Falling Waters, died Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Berkeley Springs (W.Va.) Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 23, 1935, in Piedmont, W.Va., he was the son of the late William Dale Morrison and Ollie Frances Evans Morrison.

He was a drywall finisher in Hagerstown. He was a member of The Improved Order of Red Men of Williamsport and the Moose Club of Hagerstown.

He is survived by one son, Richard Wills of Cumberland, Md.; two sisters, Barbara Pease of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Darlene Burkett of Chambersburg, Pa.; two brothers, Gary Morrison of Springfield, W.Va. and Kenneth Morrison of Mount Savage, Md.; two grandsons; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home in Cumberland. The Rev. Ted Marsh will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Omar R. Martin, 88

April 21, 1920-May 1, 2008

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Rev. Omar R. Martin, 88, of Chambersburg, passed away May 1, 2008 at Menno Haven.

He was born April 21, 1920, in Maugansville, Md., to Menno S. and Mary (Risser) Martin.

He was married to Anna Blanche Clugston Martin on April 1, 1966.

He was a dairy farmer in Chambersburg and served as minister of the Chambersburg Mennonite Church. He also served as bishop in the Franklin Mennonite Conference. He was president of the Franklin Conference Mission Board for many years. He was a charter member of the Menno Haven Board of Directors.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anna Blanche Clugston Martin of Chambersburg; and his four children, Eugene (husband of Lorene) Martin of Chambersburg, Wilmer (husband of Janet) Martin of Waterloo, Ontario, Lyle (husband of Jenny) Martin of Sarasota, Fla., and Elaine (wife of Nelson) Ruhl of Elizabethtown, Pa. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren, Eugene Lynn (Lisa) Martin, James Bradley Martin, Jolene (Joe) Eid, Janelle Martin, Alan (Christiane) Martin, Randal (Heidi) Martin, Gary (Megan) Martin, Derek Ruhl, Ashley Ruhl, Brock Ruhl and Grant Ruhl. Omar also has 10 great-grandchildren, Leah Martin, Laura Martin, Levi Martin, Jacob Martin, Matthew Martin, Kristina Martin, Kyle Martin, Kayla Martin, Travis Eid and Dylan Martin. Omar has two sisters surviving, Ada Martin and Cora Martin of Hagerstown, Md.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Kuhns Martin; a son, Linford Martin; a great-grandson, Luke Martin; and a sister, Ula Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Chambersburg Mennonite Church with Chaplain Vernon Isner and the Rev. Wilmer Martin officiating.
