May Day festival

The Shepherdstown May Day Festival features live music, dancing, poetry reading and storytelling for children. A parade will be from noon to 12:30 p.m. on German Street, and a Maypole celebration will be shortly after the parade on the lawn in front of McMurran Hall. The South Berkeley Fire Department will host a truck and tractor pull. Hamfest

The Antietam Radio Association Club hosts its annual hamfest. Prize drawings and VE exam. An auction will be at 11 a.m., and presentations will be at 9 and 10 a.m. Sunday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Washington County Agricultural Education Center, Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65), south of Hagerstown.
