May 02, 2008

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is requesting the public's assistance in finding a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for more than two months.

Katelyn Neil was reported missing Feb. 29 after she ran away from the Leitersburg Pike movie theater, and her current whereabouts are unknown, deputies said in a news release. She might be in Hagerstown or the surrounding areas or might have gone to the Prince George's County or Baltimore area, deputies said.

She is white, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has shoulder-length brown hair, deputies said.

She is on medication for a medical condition and her mother is concerned for her welfare, deputies said.

Anyone with information may contact Sgt. Roy Harsh with the Washington County Sheriff's Department at 240-313-2183 or call the department's general phone number at 301-791-3020.
