Police seek suspect in Martin's Landing shooting

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Police are looking for a second suspect in a shooting this week at Martin's Landing that left one man facing charges of attempted murder.

Travis Jackson Latta, 20, of 2452 Martin's Landing Circle, Apt. 814, was in Eastern Regional Jail Thursday night on felony counts of attempted murder and wanton endangerment. They were filed in addition to two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon and the transfer and receiving of stolen property, according to court records.

The target of the vehicle-to-vehicle gunfire early Wednesday at Martin's Landing apartments was not injured, according to police.

Latta was found hiding under a porch in the area of Mimosa Drive off Williamsport Pike after attempting to flee on foot. His vehicle was found by police.

The man told police he testified in federal court against a defendant who ultimately received a life sentence in prison, according to court records.
