Hagerstown Community College once again offers its annual College for Kids summer enrichment program.
The program has been in existence since 1987 and now offers more than 70 different courses to more than 700 students. Classes are taught by qualified teachers in a small class setting with an emphasis on hands-on, interactive learning experiences specially geared toward children going into grades one through 10. A wide range of classes are available that feature everything from science, computers, music and theater to history, art, fashion and travel.
College for Kids currently has 17 instructors for the 2008 summer program. Classes start June 23 and will continue through the week of Aug. 4. Students meet Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individual course costs will vary according to section and materials needed.
