Couple robs Family Dollar store in Martinsburg

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A man and a woman robbed a Family Dollar store Monday afternoon in the Old Courthouse Square plaza along Edwin Miller Boulevard, city police said.

The assailants entered the store at about 4:30 p.m. and the man, described as having blue eyes and being in his 20s, demanded money and showed a gun from beneath a hooded sweat shirt, according to the Martinsburg Police Department.

A cashier placed a cash register on a counter and the woman, described as having blue eyes and weighing about 120 pounds, removed money, police said.

The two left the area in an older gray car that headed toward Edwin Miller Boulevard, police said.
