Twenty-nine pairs competed on Wednesday, April 23, during a meeting of the Hagerstown Bridge Club. The game was played for Hospice of Washington County in memory of Rodney Walser, a longtime bridge player and Silver Life Master who died on April 22.
Overall winners in Flight A were, first place, David Desjardins and John Oyler; second place, Kay Keller and Fannie Johnson; third place, Elaine Rowe and Steve Smith; fourth place, Marie Sullivan and Marie Nicely; fifth place, Jim Eaton and Gerry Wixson; and sixth place, Jack Bogess and Douglas Gertsen.
In Flight B, Ralph Cate and Gerry O'Malley finished in fifth place.
In Flight C, Karen Copp and Jean Brinkley finished in third place.
North-South winners in Flight A were, fourth place, Anne Carden and Fred Wagner; and sixth place, Lois Taylor and Tom Janus. In Flight B, Mary Archer and Marianne Grusheski finished in third place.
East-West winners in Flight A were, fourth place, Emma Eaton and Debbie Kiser; and sixth place, Barbara and Vincent Schoeck.
