Charles Town City Hall had an unusual visitor Friday morning.
At about 11:35 a.m., a deer ran through the front door of the City Hall building, shattering the glass front door and shocking workers inside.
"It's pretty strange. Apparently, a deer decided to pay a visit to City Hall this morning," Charles Town Police Chief Barry Subelsky said.
Subelsky said after the deer smashed through the front door, it ran through the council's chambers and ended up in a break room.
