Two flown to hospitals after W.Va. accident

Two people were taken to local hospitals this morning after the car they were in struck a tree, Berkeley County Emergency Services officials said.

The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Apple Harvest Drive near the Berkeley County border with Frederick County, Va., officials said.

One person was thrown from the car and another was trapped inside, officials said.

Both people were taken to hospitals -- one to Winchester (Va.) Medical Center and the other to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., officals said.
