Administrative Professional of the Year award goes to Phillips

Christie Phillips has been named 2008 Administrative Professional of the Year by the Hager Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Phillips is the administrative assistant to Mary Towe, vice president and chief nursing officer at Washington County Hospital, and has worked for the hospital for seven years.

Phillips is active on many committees and has taken on the job of designing most of the fliers for the chapter.

Susan Hart and Denise Dickerson, past administrative professionals of the year, presented Phillips with the award Monday.

The annual award honors a member's work during the past year and is given during Administrative Professionals Week.

State Sen. Donald F. Munson and Hagerstown Mayor Robert E. Bruchey II presented Phillips with proclamations from the State of Maryland and City of Hagers-town.
