The individual competition in Maryland State Golf Association events begins with the Two-Man Team Championship on April 30 at Lakewood Country Club.

It's the 47th annual event, and only once has a team from the area won the title - Michael Weber and John Psillas of Fountain Head Country Club in 1996.

Among local players competing on the 7,060-yard, par-72 layout are the teams of Brian Crabtree-Randy Barnes, Ken Lampard-Greg Henry and Steve Ligi-Christ Taylor from Beaver Creek Country Club and Dick Roulette-Michael Weber of Fountain Head.
