April 19, 2008

FREDERICK, Md. - Maryland State Police said they confiscated $1,500 worth of marijuana Wednesday when they stopped a car exiting Md. 351.

Drug charges were filed against three people in the car.

The driver - Sergio Josue Ramos Ramirez, 18, of Frederick - was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, police said.

Adrian Oneil Wilson, 20, and Ernest Verben Woods Jr., 18, were charged with possession of marijuana, police said. Their hometowns were not given.

Ramirez was driving a 2005 Volkswagen Golf on the southbound Md. 351 ramp at Jefferson Street.

Shortly before 8 p.m., troopers stopped the car because of a tint violation and because the driver was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
