Herald-Mail wins 13 awards in regional advertising competition

The Herald-Mail's Advertising Department won 13 awards in the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association 2007 advertising contest.

In winning the awards, the newspaper competed in Division A for daily newspapers with circulation of 35,000 and over.The awards were presented Thursday during the annual awards conference at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Md.

The Herald-Mail winners were:

Local Retail Color, less than half a page

· Second place - Angie Sease and David Palmer for "Steppin Out Shoes"

· Third place - Robin Straley and Kathy Gelwicks for "Martin's Furniture - Black Friday"

Local Real Estate Color

· Third place - Kelly Gossard and Jackie Dieterich for "Advantage Realty"

Local Automotive B&W

· First place - Angie Sease and Cherish Harvey for "Blazin' Auto"

· Third place - Nathan Holmes and Brittney Hamilton for "Sharrett"

Ad Campaign or Series
