Three charged after illegal drugs, shotgun found at Hagerstown residence

A Thursday night drug bust in Hagerstown's East End netted three arrests, a large quantity of illegal drugs and a loaded shotgun, police said.

At 10:30 p.m., detectives with the Hagerstown Police Department's street crime unit executed a search and seizure warrant at 334 Vista St. near the Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park.

According to St. Jim Robison, this was a result of complaints from citizens in the area who noted high foot traffic and suspected drug activity at the residence.

Detectives seized 46 individual packets of heroin along with marijuana, cocaine, oxycodone and various drug paraphernalia. A loaded 12-gauge shotgun was discovered upon entry into the residence near the front door.

· Joshua B. Wetzel, 18, of 334 Vista St., has been charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, marijuana, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

He was being held on $50,000 bond this morning at the Washington County Detention Center.

· David B. Wetzel Jr., 23, also of 334 Vista St., is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin and marijuana, possession of heroin and marijuana, two counts of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.

David Wetzel was being held on $75,000 bond this morning at the Washington County Detention Center.

· A 16-year-old female juvenile from Waynesboro, Pa., was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, marijuana, oxycodone and two counts of drug paraphernalia.

Her status was unknown this morning.

Also assisting with the search warrant was the Washington County Narcotics Task Force and the Hagerstown Police Patrol Division.
