Washington Co. Sheriff's Dept. responds to calls

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following incidents Thursday.

· At 11:14 a.m., a breaking and entering was reported in the 13000 block of Hunter Hill Drive. Jewelry was taken from the residence.

· At 11:24 a.m., copper wire was reported stolen from utility poles in the 1500 block of Howell Road.

· At 4:30 p.m., a breaking and entering was reported in the 8000 block of Dam No. 4 Road.

Hagerstown Police respond to incidents

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents recently.

Monday

· At 1:14 p.m., child abuse was reported in the first block of West Antietam Street.

· At 7:26 p.m., property damage was reported in the 1000 block of Corbett Street.

Tuesday

· At 3:19 p.m., a suspicious person was reported at Posh Kids at 49 Eastern Blvd.

· At 6:30 p.m. a prostitution arrest was made at North Potomac and Franklin streets.

Wednesday

· At 12:04 a.m., the window of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Elm Street was reported damaged.

· At 9 a.m., a 26-inch green Roddy Racer bicycle was found in the first block of J.V. Jamison Drive.

· At 11:44 a.m., a vehicle parked in the first block of West Memorial Boulevard was reported scratched.

· At 4:20 p.m., a breaking and entering was reported in the 300 block of North Cannon Avenue. A laptop computer was reported stolen.

· At 4:40 p.m., a Tonka rider was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Noland Drive.

· At 5:12 p.m. damage to property was reported in the 300 block of South Potomac Street. An air conditioner was reported stolen.

· At 9:09 p.m. an assault was reported in Cramer's Alley.

· At 11:07 p.m., damage to a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Elm Street. The vehicle reportedly was dented by paintballs.

Thursday

· At 6:17 a.m., damage to the window of a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Mealey Parkway.

· At 7 a.m., baseball equipment was found in the 600 block of Ravenwood Avenue.

· At 9:07 a.m., damage to a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Brookside Terrace.

· At 10:19 a.m., a door at the Broad Axe at 28 W. Franklin St. was reported damaged.

· At 2:19 p.m. incidents of graffiti were reported in the first block of Elgin Boulevard and the first block of Elizabeth Street.

· At 3:48 p.m., a theft was reported at Dollar General at 761 E. Wilson Blvd.

Two sent to hospital after accident

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on Walnut Street sent two people to the Fulton County Medical Center with minor injuries, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The 3:10 p.m. crash occurred when a 2006 Buick driven by Ray S. Koontz, 92, of McConnellsburg, was eastbound on West Walnut Street and crossed into the path of a vehicle that was on U.S. 522, police said.

Koontz's vehicle crossed over a curb and sidewalk and came to rest against a building, police said.

A 1997 Ford driven by Audrey K. Slates, 62, of Three Springs, Pa., was in the travel portion of U.S. 522 after the impact, police said.
