Habitat for Humanity holding annual auction Saturday

Don't forget the annual dinner and auction that Habitat for Humanity is holding Saturday, starting at 5 p.m.

The event will be at the ARCC at Hagerstown Community College, 11400 Robinwood Drive.

Tickets cost $45 per person. Between 4 and 5 p.m., you can enter for a sneak preview for an additional $10. During the sneak preview, you can preview items and start bidding before the crowd starts coming.

The event includes dinner, silent auctions, live auctions, raffles, games and more.

Hundreds of items will be auctioned, including your name in a Nora Roberts novel, stays at Savage River Lodge and Nemacolin Resort, jewelry, airline tickets, NASCAR tickets, a trip to Belize, a children's outdoor playhouse, LPGA tournament tickets, bonfire party with hayride, and much more!

Casual attire - dressing to the "under construction" theme is encouraged.

Church planning silent action April 19

Salem Reformed Church on Salem Church Road is having a silent auction Saturday, April 19.

Doors open at 3 p.m and bidding will end at 7 p.m. Meal tickets will be sold for $5.50 and they will begin serving at 5 p.m.

This auction will benefit the youth fellowship mission trip.


Happy birthday to Zachary Emerson from Maugansville who will turn 4 years old Saturday. From his parents, Lisa and Jeremy Emerson, his sister, Sydney Emerson, and his doting grandparents, Sharon and Howard Bradburn.
