April 09, 2008

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - An open house and dedication was held Sunday for the renovated Jefferson High School.

The $15.3 million renovation was designed to make the school equal to the planned Washington High School being built south of Charles Town along the Charles Town Bypass. Highlights of the Jefferson High School renovation include expanding the school by about 50,000 square feet, building another gymnasium, expanding the cafeteria by about a third and building a new library at the front of the building. The library features large windows that look across farmland along Flowing Springs Road.
