Structure fire reported today in Fulton County

Firefighters in Fulton County responded this morning to a structure fire in the 11000 block of Mountain Road, a Fulton County Emergency Services dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at about 8 a.m.

No injuries had been reported, the dispatcher said.

Locks cut off 50 storage units in Pa.

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- Troopers on Monday were investigating a burglary at Hillside storage Units in Ayr Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

Someone cut the locks off of 50 storage units, police said in a news release.

Chambersburg woman flown out after U.S. 30 crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg woman was flown to Altoona (Pa.) Hospital after her vehicle overturned Saturday night on U.S. 30, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.


Tiffany Marie Overcash, 25, was driving east on Lincoln Way West when she swerved abruptly at about 8:45 p.m. and struck a utility pole and a tree, police said. Her 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier came to a rest on its side near 3908 Lincoln Way West in St. Thomas Township, police said.

Overcash was not at Altoona Hospital on Monday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Vehicles reported stolen from Greencastle lot

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Two vehicles were stolen recently from a dealer lot at Molly Pitcher Auto Auction on Molly Pitcher Highway in Greencastle, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

A burgundy 1988 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon and a brown 1995 Chevrolet work van were loaded onto a rollback truck between March 25 and April 1, police said.

Police suspect the vehicles were sold for scrap, according to the news release.

Tasers used to break up fight in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Two men had to be subdued with Tasers after ignoring police orders to stop fighting Sunday night, according to the Chambersburg Police Department.

Police said Kendrick A. Robinson, 21, of Chambersburg, and Patrick A. Young, 23, of Hagerstown, were seen by police having a fistfight shortly before 10 p.m. in the 400 block of Lincoln Way East, police said. When they ignored commands to cease fighting, police said Tasers were used on both men, "which caused each to immediately cease their actions."

Police said Robinson and Young were charged with disorderly conduct.

Chambersburg man charged after knife attack

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Chambersburg Police charged a borough man with aggravated assault and other offenses after another man was attacked with a knife Monday morning.

Alfredo Aquilar, 21, of 138 S. Third St., also was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, false imprisonment and public drunkenness in the incident, which happened at Aquilar's home, police said. Shortly after 1 a.m., Aquilar chased and attacked Jerry Ingram, age and address unavailable, injuring him in the left hand, police said.

Police alleged Aquilar then pulled Ingram inside the house and held a knife to his throat, preventing him from leaving. Ingram did manage to get away and police took Aquilar into custody "moments" later, police said.

Teen charged with cutting fence in Pa.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police said a 14-year-old boy was charged with cutting a hole in the fence of a park in Southampton Township.

Police said the unidentified boy used a bolt cutter to cut through the fence at Dentler Park, 25 Mount Rock Road, between March 1 and 17.

Police said the gate to the park was open.

The boy was charged with criminal mischief, police said.

Man escapes injury in attempted armed robbery

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Chambersburg Police were investigating an attempted armed robbery Sunday morning in an alley off the 300 block of East King Street.

Allen J. Seville, age and address not available, was walking on Light Alley shortly after 5 a.m. when a late 1990s Ford Explorer pulled up on King Street, police said. A man got out of the Explorer and tried to rob Seville at knifepoint, police said.

The robbery was unsuccessful and the man ran back to the Explorer, which was driven east on King Street, police said.

Seville, who was not injured, told police there were at least three other males in the Explorer.

Teens charged with underage drinking in Hamilton Township

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police charged six teenagers with underage drinking Saturday morning at an address in the 1700 block of Johnson Road in Hamilton Township.

Police said three 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old from Chambersburg were cited, along with a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old from Orrstown, Pa.

Police said the incident happened shortly before 3 a.m.

12-foot boat stolen from Pa. pond

WATERFALL, Pa. - A 12-foot flat-bottom aluminum boat was stolen Saturday from a pond in Taylor Township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The pond is near the intersection of Pump Station and North Hess roads, police said. The boat had two swivel seats and was valued at $400.
