Frederick FCC to show 'Granny D Goes to Washington'

FREDERICK, Md. - In recognition of Women's History Month, the Frederick Community College Women's Center and the Women's History Month Planning Committee will show the film "Granny D. Goes to Washington" on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The film and a discussion afterward, led by Ken Kerr, professor of English, will take place in the FCC Conference Center, room E-126AB.

The event is free and open to the public.

"Granny D. Goes to Washington" chronicles the march across the United States by 89-year-old political activist Doris Haddock.

She walked 3,200 miles from California to Washington, D.C.,
