Community Action Council employees assemble Easter packages for Western Maryland Hospital residents

April 06, 2008

On Friday, March 21, the employees at Washington County Community Action Council Inc. took time out from their schedule to celebrate the coming of spring, and to give to others in the community.

The 31 employees started their afternoon of activity with a potluck lunch of homemade food.

After lunch they entertained themselves with a scavenger Easter egg hunt throughout the building at 101 Summit Ave. in Hagerstown.

Employees had been asked to bring in a few travel-sized toiletry items that were then assembled into Easter care bags that were delivered by staff to patients at Western Maryland Hopital Center on Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown. A total of 72 bags were assembled and delivered to the patients.
