Church speakers

St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Scott Bellows will preach Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. The children, youth and parish choirs will sing at the later service; Bible storyteller Mike Mummert will present the Gospel story.

Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m., including an adult forum led by the Rev. Stephanie Yancy that begins a four-part series on Christian Perspectives on Aging.




St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Sunday at the 8:15 a.m. chapel service and 10:30 a.m. alternative worship, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preach on the topic, Our Companion on the Way. Communion will be celebrated.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.




Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Eric Norgard will be introduced as the new pastor at the single 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. He will be celebrant/preacher on the theme, The Time is Here. Susan Stull will be lay assisting minister. There will be special music.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will speak on the topic, Have You Seen Him?, Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. communion service. Mooney and the puppets will also give a children's sermon.

Sunday school is at 10:45 a.m.




St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, vespers are tonight at 6:30 and Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

Father Dennis Buck will speak Sunday at the 10 a.m. Divine Liturgy of St. John Climacus. Church school is at 11:30 a.m.

The Great Canon of St. Andrew is Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Presanctified Gifts service is Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by a meal.

Friday at 7:30 p.m. is the Akathist Hymn to Theotokos.

Lenten fasting continues until the orthodox Easter on April 27.




Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, Pastor Carol Hallman will speak Sunday on the topic, Along the Way, at the 10:30 a.m. service.

Bible Study for all ages is at 9 a.m. The topic is It's So Daily at the 6 p.m. service.

New Hope Church of Christ, 30 W. Salisbury St., Williamsport, Evangelist Thomas Huff will speak Sunday on the topic, Keep The Faith.

The service and Sunday school begin at 9 a.m.
