Special day for administrative professionals planned at HCC

Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education will offer a day of appreciation, learning, relaxation and fun for local administrative professionals. This annual event will be Wednesday, April 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at HCC's Valley Mall Center.

The schedule of events is as follows:

· 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. - Participant check-in, continental breakfast and lesson in flower arranging

· 9:15 to 9:30 a.m. - Welcome and opening remarks from Jim Cannon, director of HCC's Continuing Education program

· 9 to 10:45 a.m. - Keynote speaker Susan Mosher, HCC instructor

· 11 to 11:30 a.m. - "Zumba!" with Anita Binder

· 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Catered lunch from the Gourmet Goat

· 12:30 p.m. - Closing remarks and door prizes

Seated massages will be provided by Merribeth Perrson & Associates throughout the morning. A variety of vendors will be present at the event, including Mary Kaye, Choices Aesthetics and Medical Spa, Curves for Women, Tastefully Simple, Signature Home Styles and Arbonne International. Participants are invited to dress casually for the event. The program costs $54.


The event is specially designed to encourage employers to reward the hard-working secretaries and administrative assistants who often form the backbones of their companies and corporations.
